The Jaundiced Eye (Unrated; merits R) -- Zeitgeist. In 1989, Stephen Matthews and his father, Melvin, were sentenced to 35 years in prison after being convicted of molesting Stephen's five-year-old son. The child's harrowing accusations included torture with a machete, but no physical evidence was ever produced. Nonny de la Peña's documentary asks if Stephen's homosexuality influenced the judge's decision and examines the role false memories might have played in the case. 90 minutes.
